PDA Changes in Washington State

Excerpt from Tim Carpenter's email:

"It is with great hopes and a sincere sense of responsibility that we proudly introduce our new State Leadership Team in Washington State, primed to usher in a new era of progressive action in the Evergreen State! But before we do that we want to take this opportunity to express our deep appreciation to Judith Shattuck for everything she has done for PDA in Washington State and wish her the very best going forward.

Roberta McNair
Roberta jumped into PDA feet first, taking on first the CD Point Person position in WA06, then the Healthcare for All IOT pages, and now as co-coordinator for Washington state. The actions Roberta helped coordinate to convince Cong. Norm Dicks to sign on to HR 676 bore fruit in June, when he became the 83rd cosponsor of the bill. She’s ready and willing to make every progressive resource available to PDA’s members, and she’s always looking for ideas on how to increase the progressive influence in the community and Washington’s congressional offices.
Conor Boylan
Most of you know Conor as PDA’s National Field Coordinator but he also lives in Seattle and will work with Roberta on organizing for PDA in Washington.Conor’s dedication to his new home state gives him an added measure of enthusiasm and excitement for the growth of the progressive movement in Washington.
Primary Goals ...
1. To promote the progressive agenda--like our current Healthcare NOT Warfare campaign; 2. To build solid, functioning chapters in every congressional district; 3. To recruit new members; 4. To work with PDA-friendly progressive groups to achieve our mutual goals; 5. To recruit and support solid progressive candidates to run for office; and 6. To raise funds to help facilitate all of the above.

Onward And Upward! Tim Carpenter and the entire national team"
