Condem 'Blue Dogs'

Without going into the history of  the "Blue Dog Democrats" obstructionist group, I'll offer this tidbit of information.  Prior to 1994 they were Boll Weevils, a.k.a. "Reagan Democrats" a.k.a. Southern Democrats..  The "Blue Dogs"  embraced Reagan's tax cuts for the rich as well as his deregulation policies for corporate America and Wall Street.

Here in 2009 the chickens have come home to roost.  With our nation on the brink of collapse thanks to deregulation and unconscionable tax forgiveness schemes that benefited the wealthy,  the "Blue Dog" scourge nonetheless has the gall to raise its neoliberal  squawk   again!   "Blue Dog"  ideology was wrong in the 80's and it's wrong today!

Are we going to take this sitting down?  (If so, why not on our knees?  That way we wouldn't have that far to go in order to crawl.)

My answer is NO!

We didn't vote for a "Blue Dog" agenda in 2008.  We voted for President Obama's  plans for rebuilding America

We need a short and snappy Resolution that either condemns obstructionist "Blue Dog" Republicrats,  or calls on them to return to the fold.

Does it bother you that a "Blue Dog"  like Sen. Bayh (D-IN) a state with a population of  just over 6 million has the power to negate the vote of  Sen. Boxer (D-CA) who represents a state with a population of 37 million?

Anyone willing to write a Resolution?  I can't do it.  I know I would not be objective.

Hopefully someone will come up with some wording that we can thereafter circulate to county and LD Democratic organizations here in WA, and ultimately get it passed at April's WSDCC Meeting.  Time is of the essence!
